Amaranth (Ceres)
Super grain of the Aztecs. Amaranth (never fading flower) was a staple diet of the Aztecs who believed it had supernatural powers. It is high in protein, easy to digest & has a mild nutty malt-like flavour. Can be used as a breakfast cereal, or as a grain.

About Ceres
Ceres has developed to be New Zealand's foremost distributor for Organic products; including dry goods, skin, body, hair care and colours, household cleaning and fresh produce. They started their journey with humble beginnings as a school fair stall in 1982, growing to a small business based in a garage. From here, a retail shop was established which still operates at 181 Ladies Mile, Ellerslie, Auckland and today they employ 70 people and operate a large warehousing facility and head office.
