Polenta (Ceres)

This gluten free food features on the menu in many restaurants. It cooks up similar to porridge. It is very versatile and can be served with meat or seafood. Soft polenta can replace bread or pasta in a meal. In cake form, it can be layered with a sweet or savoury filling & baked. It can be grilled with mushroom and tomatoes like a brushetta. Left over polenta can be shaped into balls. patties or sticks and fried until golden brown and crispy for a treat.

About Ceres

Ceres has developed to be New Zealand's foremost distributor for Organic products; including dry goods, skin, body, hair care and colours, household cleaning and fresh produce. They started their journey with humble beginnings as a school fair stall in 1982, growing to a small business based in a garage. From here, a retail shop was established which still operates at 181 Ladies Mile, Ellerslie, Auckland and today they employ 70 people and operate a large warehousing facility and head office.
